2013 Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

2013 Domaine A Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Established in 1973, the historic Stoney Vineyard is the oldest in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. Just half an hour's drive from the city of Hobart, the 11ha single vineyard Domaine is owned and operated by Peter and Ruth Althaus. It is the culmination of a long and exhaustive world-wide search for terroir ideally suited to cool-climate viticulture.

Deep Crimson with a dark plum rim. The nose has classic Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of intense ripe cassis and red berry fruits with hints of mint sage and spice. The palate is rich and voluptuous, with dark berry fruits with earthy plum and blackcurrant fruits with a hint of cherry liqueur supported by fine elegant tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent.

Region or Appellation: Coal River Valley, Tasmania, Australia

Alcohol ABV: 14.4%

Blend: Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot

Drinking Window: 2023-2032

"This wine has everything going for it, complexity, mouthwatering acidity, ripe and well-structured tannins... 98 points " - Curly Haslam-Coates, The Wine Front
