Lassalle NV Cuvee Preference Magnum
One of the cornerstones of the Kermit Lynch portfolio, J. Lassalle continues to make very good Champagnes that taste classic and effortless. Located in the northern village of Chigny-Les-Roses, not far from Vilmart, Canard-Duchêne, and Bérèche, their terroir favors the juicy Pinot Meunier variety. A blend of 60% Meunier with equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Cuvée Préférence is the most Meunier-forward of their wines. Aged for four years on the lees and bottled with a moderate dosage of 8 grams of sugar per liter, the wine has plenty of texture, balanced by Meunier's Riesling-esque acidity. Bottled in magnum, we have a few big beauties left at this incredible price.
