Nashi pear and biscuit aromas with ginger, peach, wet slate and floral notes. The 2022 Babich Pinot Gris is medium weighted and loaded with fresh fruits particularly pear, melon and stone fruits. The finish is lingering and complex.
The pinot gris fruit was harvested from Babich vineyards in the Waihopai & Wairau Valleys. The fruit was quickly pressed off skins to and a portion of the juice spent 48 stirring prior to clarification and fermentation to build mouthfeel. Fermented in tank.
