2021 Scorpo Pinot Noir 750ml

2021 Scorpo Pinot Noir 750ml

Paul Scorpo has been quietly crafting beautiful wines in Mornington Peninsula alongside Australia’s top shelf cool climate winegrowers.

An open and elegant bouquet of raspberry, mulberry, cranberry and cherry will lead to great aromatic complexity as the wine matures. Earthly forest floor and hints of toast add another layer of complexity. The palate is balanced, composed and collected. It’s purity and definition can take the taster aback. Fine, silky tannins display a praphite-like structure with integrated acid and purity, complimented by delicate red fruits of cherries and raspberries.

2021 is here and what a seriously fine offering it is. Review for 2020: 93 points, Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion “Showing a touch of development, albeit in a positive way as there’s still plenty of upfront fruit, spice and acidity. The tannins are textural and a little grainy as they slink across the mid-weighted palate. It feels deceptively light in a way even if it has plenty of stuffing.”
