2020 Tenuta Luce 'Luce' Toscana IGT 750ml
A project started in the 1990s by the Frescobaldi and Mondavi family, now run by Lamberto Frescobaldi in Montalcino, Tuscany. This wine is a 50/50 blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, with vines planted on the southern slopes at altitudes of up to 420 metres and complex soils. The wine spends 2 years ageing in French barriques, 80% of which are new. This wine is ripe and concentrated and displays rich bramble fruits and plenty of savoury and sweet spice. Tannins are firm and present, yet have a delicious ripeness and glossiness to them. There is vibrancy and energy to the wine that lasts for a long time.
